okay...new work with the sand mix...use 5 1/2 to 6 quarts of water instead of the recommended 4 1/2. The stones still come out very stable yet the surface is smoother. Nice.
My only unhappiness with the finished stones was that I had rushed this group because of rain and they are sparsley adorned. I use glass, Lake Michigan stones, and the most exciting pieces are the two figurals, a man and aa woman. The last two won't work that well as stones. They are too raised and her breasts will wear away. I am thinking steles or reliefs. A bench?
